withdrawal
of the Focus WRC)
Ones to watch:-
Car 1, Kevin Jones:
A
5th place here in ‘06 and 2nd last year, Kev is a
proven master of the
‘Ranges’, it will take a
special talent to match his times.
Car 2, Geoff MacQuilling:
Twice a winner here in ‘03 and ‘06, Geoff will keep
Kev on his
toes.
Car 3, Keith Griffiths:
2nd in ‘03, 3rd in ‘06 and 3rd again last year,
Keith is a ‘Ranges’
specialist, his ‘all out’ style
will keep you entertained.
Car 4, Carwyn Ellis:
2nd in ‘05 and ‘06, could this be Carwyn's year?
Car 5, Ken Pugh:
4th in ‘05 and ‘06, Ken can match anybody's times
and will be ready to
pounce should the front runners
stumble.
Car 6, Gary Edgington:
5th last year and it should be a good battle with
Chris Phillips in
car 7 who was 6th last year.
Car 7, Chris Phillips:
6th here last year,
will be trading class 3 times with Geoff
MacQuiliing
and Gary Edgington.
Car 8, Danny Postlethwaite:
7th last year and getting quicker every time he
comes to our
event.
Car 9, Paul Hughes:
Not done our event before but has had a couple of
good top ten results
this year.
Car 10, Peter O’Dougherty:
Pete is using the very rapid Escort Mk4 that came
4th last year
and is an experienced ‘Ranges’
campaigner.
There are quite a few other local experts just outside the
top ten and any of them could spring a surprise.

Clwyd Vale Motor Club is a motor club registered with the ASN
(National Sporting Authority) for
the UK, the Motor Sports Association (MSA).
One of our stated aims is "To further interest in
motoring and motor sport." We do this by organising
a variety of events, many of which are detailed in
the pages of this site.
We are based
in the
Vale of Clwyd, North
Wales, hence our name. To get an idea of where that
is, type
Denbigh into
Multimap or
Google.
In our area we have some of the
best forests for
Stage Rallying
in the UK;
Clocaenog, and some of the
best lanes for our
Road Rallies, which take
place at night.
Our most famous
members are Club President
David Richards of
Prodrive and Vice
President
Ari Vatanen (1981 World Rally Champion and now a
Member of the European Parliament). The late F1 driver
Tom Pryce was also closely
associated with the Club.
