A moment of

really easy - you can donate online by credit or

Justgiving will add an automatic 28% bonus to your

Armstrong Massey
Rally
Sunday 5th July 2009
Dear All, I am writing to
request marshals for this Year's Armstrong Massey
Rally, which will be held at Driffield Airfield in
East Yorkshire on Sunday 5th July 2009. The event is
a round of the ANCC Stage Rally Championship, and
also the Yorkshire League. We did promise that we
would publish a video of the stage, but
unfortunately the MoD have banned us from doing this
on security grounds. Apologies for this, but there
really is nothing we can do about it. Marshals need
to sign on at the entrance to the venue at 001560 on
Map 106. The entrance is signposted 'Driffield
Training Area' off the A614, and if you use a SatNav,
the nearest postcode is YO25 9LH. Signing on is from
7:30am to 8am. Note that spectators are not allowed,
so if you want to watch you will have to marshal.
The Chief Marshal is Mark Edwards,
mark@bdmc.org.uk,
who'd be delighted to hear from you if you'd like to
help. Mark can also be contacted on 07813 182123. If
you can't get in touch with the Chief Marshal, you
can contact the Deputy Chief Marshal, Mark Cresswell,
on
macrutten@googlemail.com or 07941 025092. He may
also be contacting some of you by phone over the
next few days. Thanks for your assistance.
Matthew Atkinson, Clerk of the
Course

Charity Bike Ride
29th June to 4th
July '09
Well known Welsh rally celebrities have teamed up to
form a group called WRC-BRC (Welsh Rally Cyclists-Beicwyr
Rali Cymru). The aim will be to raise awareness and
give financial support to Spinal Injuries Research
and the Welsh Air Ambulance, both charities having a
long standing association with motorsport in Wales.
On 29th
June 2009 the WRC-BRC members will be cycling from
Holyhead to Cardiff along LÔN LAS CYMRU, the old
Drovers roads of Wales. The riders taking part will
be made up of Welsh rally drivers & co-drivers. All
keen to show their support and time for such worthy
causes. More details:
