Cwrt Garage Ystwyth Rally
Sunday 10th June

Well, today being Sunday, me, Steven Hatcher, Steven Hope and Al Hayward went down to sweet lamb to do the Cwrt Garage Ystwyth Rally which was put on by Aberystwyth & DMC. It was a very eventful day and the biggest problem of all was the dust. You've never seen anything like it as we couldn't see more than 3 feet ahead of ourselves.

Sorry to say that myself and Steven Hatcher had to retire at the end of the third section as we had lost our back box and the organisers said that the exhaust as then too loud. Which I then pointed out that at the end of the first section they let a Nissan Sunny, which had also lost its full exhaust system, but then recovered it and refitted it but it was still making more noise than ours. Also a Sierra xr4i which had lost its back box also were allowed to carry on but there we are their word is final and we wont change that. Al Hayward and Steven Hope also retired on the third section due to a snapped rotor arm and a faulty coil pack. It was a shame but on the whole it was a great day, but I would also like to say a big thank you to the marshals who did a wonderful job and helped the day go with out a hitch.
