As part of our ongoing support for the Welsh
Air Ambulance we held a “Guess the Mileage of the Rally Car”
Competition, visitors paid £1 to guess the mileage with a chance
of winning £100. The car in question was a Mitsubishi Evo
VII owned by club member Myfyr Owen, who’s idea it was to run
the competition. After lots of persistence and hard work
from Club members, the general public of the Denbigh & Flint
show kindly rewarded us with a total donation of £405, many
thanks to all those who took part in the competition, any money
we raise for this vital charity is always welcome.
The mileage for the Evo was 6767, the car is 8
years old but it has only every competed on Rallies!
Chris Parsons from
Pontblyddyn won the competition guessing 6751, with Sioned Jones
missing out by just one mile with her guess of 6750, and in 3rd
place was Shirley Workman with 6719.
